Watch the First Episode for Free

Showtime's new survival epic Yellowjackets is still over a week away, but if the concept of a girls soccer team stranded in the wilderness and forced to survive Lord of the Flies-style piqued your interest, you're in luck. The first episode was released completely free for all to sample ahead of the show's November 14 premiere date. As of now, you can watch it on YouTube, Showtime.com, Sho.com, and other Showtime partner platforms.

Yellowjackets revolves around a high school girls soccer team left to survive in the woods of Ontario following a plane crash. The once outstanding team of talented players rips apart over time as survival takes precedent over camaraderie and factions form. 25 years later, as the survivors try to pick up the pieces, they're forced to confront what happened in the woods and realize that they can never move on, even if they try desperately to forget. The series touts itself as a psychological horror, showing the depths of depravity humanity can sink to when pushed to its limits.

Showtime will fully premiere Yellowjackets on November 14 at 10 PM ET. Here's the official synopsis for the series:

Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, YELLOWJACKETS is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.
